Jagjit singh claimed that his 26-year old son, Upkar Singh Babbal who went to pursue his studies in Australia became a prey to the racial attack in Melbourne on May 7.
He said that when he enquired to Babbal's friends about his son in Australia, he came to know that his son was killed by an Austrialian taxi driver who threw his son's body on the railway track.
He also said that his son Babbal had informed him a number of times about the alleged discrimination against Indian students in Australia. Singh has now demanded the Indian government to investigate into the death of his son.
