Sonia, Manmohan meet over portfolio allocation
New Delhi, May 28: Just hours after the second swearing-in ceremony that took place on Thursday, May 28; Congress President, Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh met to deliberate over portfolio allocation.
The meeting which was held almost as soon as induction of 59 ministers in the Singh's team was attended by the Political Secretary to Congress president Ahmed Patel.
Six portfolios have already been allotted to six senior members of the 79-member team. There are reports that the delay in portfolio allocation is due to disagreements over the key portfolios in the big-name-heavy coalition.
Now that the 'who is in?' part of the government formation process is done with, all eyes and ears await the 'who gets what' topic of the cabinet formation.
