Washington, May 27: US president Barack Obama on Tuesday, May 26 has asked the Myanmar military government to release Aung San Suu Kyi unconditionally.

Obama said, "I call on the Burmese government to release National League for Democracy (NLD) secretary general and Nobel Peace Prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi from detention immediately and unconditionally."
