Woolworths to return to UK's High Street
London, May 25 (ANI): Britain's popular Woolworths-style stores are likely to the High Street, it has emerged.
'Broke' retail stores' former boss is planning to buy back its vacant shops
Former managing director Tony Page has reportedly joined hands with UBS banker Gareth Thomas to raise between 5million pounds and 10millon pounds in a hope to bring back the famous Pic 'n Mix sweets, toys and everyday items, reports the Daily Star.
Other former Woolworths bosses are also said to be working on the project with Page.
The plan would expand on the successful launch of Wellworths in Dorchester, Dorset.
The shop was opened by former Woolworths manager Claire Robertson as a replacement when her local branch closed down. (ANI)
