Lahore, May 25 (ANI): Pakistan's cricket selection committee, which is headed by former leg spinner Abdul Qadir, is reportedly upset over not being consulted about the axing of pacer Shoaib Akhtar from the Twenty20 World Championship squad.
The Nation quoted sources close to Qadir as saying that he was unhappy that coach Intikhab Alam had dropped Akhtar from the national team without consulting the selection committee.
The selectors felt the team management is ignoring the selection committee, although some media reports said captain Younis Khan is also unhappy with the team management's decision.
Younis, however, denied the allegation, saying it was an issue handled by the management and the selectors. (ANI)
