India: UP reports suspected case of Swine Flu
Lucknow, May 23: A suspect Swine Flu has been reported from Uttar Pradesh from the Moradabad district. A brass exporter, who recently returned from Europe, was admitted to a hospital with symptoms of the flu, officials said Friday, May 22.
"A man, who is a brass exporter was admitted to the Moradabad district hospital. He showed symptoms of swine flu," Director General (Medical and Health) I S Srivastava told IANS on Friday, May 22.
He added that a team of doctors have examined the patient who is right now in an isolation ward. The hospital authorities have collected samples of blood and urine and were sent to the National Institute of Communicable Diseases for tests.
The results are expected to be back by a day or two.
