Chennai, May 21: The CBSE and ICSE results declared on Wednesday, May 20 did not throw any new surprises. While the girls continued outshine the boys, the southern region outperformed the rest.
In the results announced by Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) of the ICSE and ISC results of Class X and XII examinations, the southern region came out on top with a pass percentage of 97.78 throughout the country in Class XII and in the Class X, and secured a second position in the country with 98.66 per cent.
Student also put up an impressive show by marking a 100 per cent pass percentage this year.
In the CBSE XII results girls proved to be better than the boys with higher pass percentage. Girls also secured three of the top five ranks.
