New Delhi, May 19: Completing the last formality of elections, the Election Commission on Monday, May 18 submitted the list of all elected representatives of the Lok Sabha Polls to the president, Pratibha Patil.
"We met the President and gave the formal list of all elected representatives to the 15th Lok Sabha. With this, the constitution of the Lok Sabha is completed," Chief Election Commissioner Navin Chawla told reporters.
This is a required step for the formal formation of the 15th Lok Sabha, as per the norms of the Indian Constitution. Informing that this is the final step to the elections procedure, Mr Chawla said, "The President will now go for the government formation."
The polls that took place in five phases ended with counting held on May 16.
