Prabhakaran's son is suspected to be dead: SL Army

Colombo, May 18: A day after the Sri Lankan army claimed that Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam leader V Prabhakaran was suspected to be dead, the Lankan army on Monday, May 18 has said that a body that is suspected to be that of Prabhakaran's son, Charles Anthony was found in the war zone.

The Lankan army has reportedly also recovered bodies of three other top LTTE leaders. The bodies of LTTE political head B Nadesan, LTTE peace Secretariat chief Pulidevan and another top leader Ramesh was found in war zone, the army said. However, on the issue of finding Prabhakaran's elder son Charles Anthony the army said that the body was yet to be identified.

According to the army website, Anthony's body was found after an 'unsuccessful and half-hearted attempt by the LTTE cadres to evacuate their leader's son early this morning'.

Charles Anthony was reportedly the head of Information and Technology department of the LTTE and is said that the leader was forced to recruit his own son to avoid accusations of hypocrisy.
