Lalu sans Cong, neither King nor Kingmaker
Patna, May 17: The counting day was filled with laments of those who have contested against or without Congress. After BJP conceded to defeat, called Modi an analytical error and Left leader Karat accepting to have suffered a 'setback', Lalu yielded to the fact that fighting without Congress was a mistake.
"Not fighting the elections with the Congress was a big mistake. It led to division of secular votes. The votes which went to Congress in Bihar paani mein mil gaya (were wasted)," he said on Saturday, May 16.
Lalu Prasad Yadav's party Rashtriya Janata Dal won just four seats this time as opposed to the 22 in the 2004.
