I won't mind being Leader of Opposition: Murli Manohar Joshi
New Delhi, May 17 (ANI): Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Murli Manohar Joshi on Sunday said if given a chance, he could be ready to take up the job of the Leader of the Opposition.
"I am not in any race. But if I am given any responsibility by the party, I do not shy away. I am a humble BJP worker and will do as my party bids," Joshi told reporters here.
When asked about Advani's insistence that he does not want to be the Leader of Opposition, Joshi said the BJP's prime ministerial candidate was not happy with the party's dismal performance.
"This should not be looked from the negative perspective. Mr. Advani is the most important and senior most leader of the party. He takes decisions after due consideration. He does not want to be the Leader of Opposition again in view of the party's dismal performance," he added.
When asked about his party's defeat in the general elections, Joshi said he found fault with the election campaign strategy. (ANI)
