British filmmakers attacked in Pakistan while shooting film on Taliban
Lahore, May 14 (ANI): Unidentified gunmen have reportedly attacked a British filmmaker and his crew near Balochistan capital Quetta.
British filmmaker David Whitney was shooting for his film 'Kandahar Break', which is based on Taliban-rule in Afghanistan, when the crew members were shot at near Quetta, the BBC reports.
All crew members were flown out of Pakistan immediately after the incident. No one was injured.
"Fortunately, we all survived, but it was terrifying. Four members of our crew were shot but they escaped without serious injury," Whitney said.
He said it was disappointing to leave the country on this note, as the film was nearing completion.
"I was really disappointed, we were at a crucial point in the filming," Whitney said.
The film, which is now complete, is expected to be released in July. (ANI)
