HDK tiptoes into 10 Janpath, meets Sonia Gandhi
New Delhi, May 13: HD Kumaraswamy, the JD-S leader on Tuesday, May 13 secretly met Sonia Gandhi fuelling a speculation of further cracks in the 'Third Front' as both Congress and BJP are busy hunting for more allies to shore up numbers, to emerge as a winner in the Lok Sabha polls.
However soon after the meet, HDK convened a press conference and said that there was no question of JD-S leaving the Third Front. "We are not leaving Third Front. We are in Third Front and we will continue to be in Third Front," said Kumaraswamy. He added that only issues related to Karnataka were discussed and that JD-S will stick to whatever decision other Third Front leaders take after Lok Sabha polls. He also said Sonia did not seek JD(S) support for Congress.
He also did not forget to add that the 'Third Front' was 'intact' and it was too early to predict that the Thrid Front's collapse.
