Bangalore, May 12: Microsoft, the software giant is all set to lay off about 55 employees in India, which is 1 pc of its Indian staff. The company decided to layoff employees from its 5,500 people-strong Indian operations in a bid to realign its business in India.
"Due to a global realignment of our business priorities, about one per cent of the net rolls across India are likely to be impacted," the company said in a statement. However Microsoft spokesperson refused to comment on the details. Software giant also announced it would lay off about 300 employees in the second round of job-cuts effected from May 5 all over world.
