Indians flying Air France face racial bias
Mumbai, May 12: About 50 Indian passengers flying Air France alleged racial bias against the service team at Paris airport after their aircraft developed a technical problem. The passengers, who spent 28 hours in Paris in a 'single room', said they were confined to a lounge at the airport there from 10.00 pm on Sunday till 7.00 am the next morning and given 'hardly any food and water'.
They added that while foreigners were taken to hotels shortly after their plane returned to Paris airport due to technical snag, Indians were taken to the lounge and given a 'bottle of water and a sandwich'.
The Indian passengers were forced to lie down on the floor and take rest. They were even threatened that will be handed over to police if they did not stop protesting. Passengers added that no official reason was given for the delay of flight.
