Washington, May 10: A retired CIA expert on South Asia warned India of a serious threat of another Mumbai-style attack on the country. Bruce O Riedel os CIA said, "there is a serious risk of another Mumbai-style attack."
In an interview with Council on Foreign Relations, a Washington based think-tank Riedel said, "This would ratchet up tensions and make the Pakistani army even more determined to keep 80 percent of its manpower focused on India rather than on the threat posed by the internal jihadist problem."
He added that Pakistan is not realising that its army and the intelligence service has created a 'jihadist Frankenstein monster' in their nation and the existential threat to Pak's freedom comes from within." He even warned of the possibility of a 'jihadist' state emerging in Pakistan sometime in the future.
