Lahore May.9 (ANI): All rounder Shahid Afridi may be appointed Pakistan cricket team's captain for the forthcoming Twenty20 World Cup in England, as incumbent captain Younis Khan is upset over his slump in form and with defeat against the Australians.
Acccording to sources, Khan is thinking about quitting the captaincy.
han has been going through a rough patch in his one-day career, and with his dismal performance in the recently concluded one-day series against Australia, where he scored just 73 runs in the five-matches with a paltry average of 14.60.
everal former players and experts have also slammed Khan for his inability to lead the side against a second string Australian team.
Former captain Wasim Akram said Khan must learn from his experience, and be more relaxed about his job.
Khan is planning to quit captaincy ahead of the Twnety20 World Cup as he considers himself a better Test player than a one day or a Twenty20 batsman, The Daily Times reports.(ANI)
