Kolkata, May 9; Stirring up the central point of Hindhutva campaign LK Adavi said that if Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) forms a government at centre then Ram Temple at Ayodhya would be possible. On the same topic he said that Mandir would be built when Hindus and Muslims declare that they want it.
The senior BJP leader said, "A coalition government has its limitations. If we come to power, we will have to take the coalition into confidence. (But) A day will come when both the Hindus and Muslims will say together that the Ram Mandir must be built."
Calling the alliance between Left and Congress 'totally opportunistic' he said it was done only with a 'negative consideration that the BJP be kept out'. Continuing to slam the UPA government he said, "This is the only government since 1952 which has done nothing in its five-year rule. Its record is completely blank."
