Manmohan, Advani come face to face in Parliament
New Delhi, May 6 (ANI): After bitterly campaigning against each other, Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and Leader of the Opposition L K Advani on Wednesday came face-to-face in Parliament at a function.
Dr. Singh and Advani greeted each other with folded hands and smiles at the function organised to pay tributes to freedom fighter Motilal Nehru on his birth anniversary.
The two leaders posed for the cameras along with Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee and others in front of the portrait of Nehru in the Central Hall of Parliament.
On the campaign trail, Advani has been accusing Dr. Singh of being the weakest Prime Minister in the country's history.
The Prime Minister had sought to counter Advani projecting himself as a strong leader contending that the BJP leader was weeping when the Babri mosque was demolished. (ANI)
