Karachi, May 5 (ANI): Days after it claimed that a foreign hand was involved in the continuous spate of violence in Karachi, Pakistan has now backtracked from its stance saying it is yet to find proof about its claims.

Sindh Home Minister Zulfiqar Mirza said investigation agencies are probing all the issues regarding the violence that the city witnessed recently, but are yet to find proof of foreign involvement.

Earlier, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani had said that involvement of foreign hand could not be ruled in the violence in which at least 30 persons were killed over 35 were injured.

Several hotels, restaurants and vehicles were also torched in different parts of the city.

The violence and an unending process of firing had erupted in the city after two activists of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) were found shot dead. (ANI)
