Ferguson says ManU has nerve to win record equaling 18th title

By Super Admin

London, May 2 (ANI): Sir Alex Ferguson has backed Manchester United to hold their nerve and clinch the Premier League to claim a record equalling 18th title.

The Manchester United boss is preparing for the title race to go to the final day, despite a three-point lead over nearest rivals Liverpool and their game in hand.

He believes his side will be able to draw on past experience to ensure they get the job done.

"Over the years we've had to win our last game three or four times and we've done it on every occasion," The Mirror quoted Ferguson, as saying.

"So it tells you something about the quality of people we have that we can go the last game with the right temperament and courage to play under these circumstances. I'd be perfectly happy to go to Hull on the last day of the season needing a victory to win the championship.

"I've been very lucky in that respect. Sometimes you drive players to the very limit through your motivation and your desire. But when you have players with these attributes who are self motivated and self-driven, you have the right people," he added. (ANI)
