New Delhi, Apr 29: Bharati Airtel posted a 21 per cent raise in the net profit with Rs 2,239.30 crore for the fourth quarter (Q4) ended March 31, 2009.
The India Mobile services giant on Wednesday, Apr 29 accounted for the increase in the net profit to the growth in the number of subscribers.
The company's total revenue rose by 25.65 per cent to Rs 9,824.50 crore in the FY '09, from Rs 7,819.10 crore in the corresponding period in FY'08.
From the total revenue of Rs 27,025 crore of the previous year; the company saw a raise to Rs 36,961.50 crore this fiscal year.
The firm also reported a rise of 25 per cent in the cash profit with Rs 3,788 crore.
Due to the positive q4 numbers, the Bharati stocks in the BSE markets rose 1.78 per cent in the morning session.
