If guilty, will to go to jail for riots: Modi

Anand, Apr 28: The Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday, Apr 28 that if his role in 2002 Gujarat Riots is proved in the Supreme Court appointed Special Investigative Team (SIT) report, he will go to jail for it.

Addressing a campaign in Anand he said "I will abide by the Supreme Court directives and fully cooperate in any probe. I am willing to go to jail if my involvement is proved by the SIT in the post-Godhra riots."

On Monday, Apr 27 the Supreme Court ordered a special investigation into the role of the top officials including Narendra Modi in the 2002 Gujarat Riots.
