Patil returns after successful Spain-Poland visit
Warsaw, Apr 27: Indian President Prathiba Patil who was on a week long visit to Spain and Poland expressed satisfaction that her visit helped to bring India closer to these two countries.
Speaking to journalists on board during her return journey to New Delhi from Poland, President Patil on Monday, Apr 27 said that she was satisfied by the overall response she received from the governments in Spain and Poland.
In the first ever contact between India and the two countries Patil successfully held discussions over various issues of importance, signed agreements and looked at many areas of mutual interest where India could exchange cooperation with the Spain or Poland.
Recalling her visit to Latin America that included visits to Chille, Mexico, and Brazil, as well as the 'Look-East' programme that happened with the visit to Indonesia and Vietnam, she said that she wants to project the brighter side of India before the world fraternity.
