This move came in after the terror suspect claimed to be a minor at the time of Mumbai carnage.
Judge M. L. Tahiliyani said a radiologist and a forensic dentist would examine Kasab. Tahiliyani has also allowed special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam to examine witnesses comprising doctors and jailor.
If the inquiry establishes that Kasab is juvenile, then the case will be transferred to the juvenile court. The maximum punishment prescribed under Juvenile Justice Act is three years.
As per the court orders the test has to be completed by Apr 28, so that the trial can resume on May 2.
