"Lalu has called me up and said 'I have not left UPA, I am very much in the UPA and we will again form a government'," Mukherjee said.
This happened after both the leaders had exchanged in verbal war while addressing election rallies. Mukherjee had said that Lalu had treated congress like a 'doormat' at a election rally in Bihar. He further said that it was doubtful if Lalu would be in the government after the polls.
Lalu had retorted to this saying that 'time will tell who is with whom'.
The Congress leader took into arguing against Lalu as he had defied the Congress' projection of Manmohan Singh as the Prime Minister by saying that the alliance partners will decide on the choice post polls.
