Patna, Apr 21: Lalu Prasad Yadav slams Congress yet again saying that it was due to the people that he is in power and it has nothing to do with Congress.
“You think I"m in the Union Cabinet because of any mercy from the Congress? I"m there because of the people"s mandate," he asserted.
He made this statement reacting to the Bihar Congress chief Anil Sharma's demand to remove both Lalu Prasad Yadav and Ramvilas Paswan from the Union Cabinet. The Congress wants him and Mr. Paswan removed from the cabinet due to their continued assaults on the Congress.
Earlier, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Lalu Prasad blamed both Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress for the Babri Masjid demolition. While taking on the same issue he allegedly abused the BJP leader L K Advani, for which the BJP too had made a demand to remove Lalu from the cabinet.
Ramvilas Paswan, the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) leader supported Lalu's remarks on the Babri Masjid demolition, bringing upon himself the wrath of Congress too.
