London, Apr 20 (ANI): Aussie actor Hugh Jackman has revealed that he is rarely recognized by his fans, and at times even has to convince them that he is a popular actor.
Jackman, 40, who shot to fame with his role as Wolverine in the 2000 comic book movie X-Men, insists that he does not receive the same kind of adoration as other stars.
"I've been stood in the street with people arguing with me over whether I am that guy from X-Men. I've had to show people my (driving) licence to prove who I am," the Daily Star quoted him as saying.
Jackman further admitted that he even gets mistaken for British actor Rupert Everett and action man Vin Diesel.
"I was in Moscow recently promoting a movie and this woman came in delivering my breakfast, and she said, 'Hello, I just wanted to say you are my favourite actor. For me, My Best Friend's Wedding was just incredible', and I said, 'Yeah it's a great movie but I'm not in it'. And she said, 'No, you are in it. I've seen it 100 times'," he said.
"She went on and on, and finally I convinced her that I was in X-Men but she then thought I was in XXX, which was Vin Diesel," he added. (ANI)
