Karachi, Apr.18 (ANI): Cricket South Africa (CSA) has refused to host Pakistan 'A' team's tour citing a busy cricket calendar, the Dawn reports.
The CSA has informed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
"The South Africans have informed us that they will be unable to host our A team this year as they are hosting the Indian Premier League (IPL) and the Champions Trophy," PCB's Director (Game Development) Aamir Sohail said.
As per schedule, the Pakistan 'A' team was to play three four-day games and five one-day internationals after a three-day practice game in August-September.
The CSA's refusal is seen as a blow to the PCB efforts to to raise a competitive second string team prior to the 2011 World Cup. (ANI)
