India treating Kasav like a guest: Bal Thackeray
Mumbai, Apr 17: The Shiv Sena Chief, Bal Thackeray said that the Mumbai terror attacks suspect, Ajmal Kasav does not deserve any legal aid and must be hanged publicly near the Gateway of India, on Friday, Apr 17.
"Why should Kasab be provided legal help? There is public demand that he should be hanged near Gateway of India and no time should be lost in trial," Thackeray said in an editorial in Sena mouthpiece 'Saamana'.
He further allegeded that the terror suspect was treated as a guest in the 'country' and that his mother who will be visiting him will probably be treated like a 'veermata' (mother of a matyr) .
Commenting on the lawyers appointed for the case, he said that they are playing with the 'prestige' of the nation by being in the limelight through the case. But have failed to gauge the public fury.
