London, Apr.16 (ANI): Former England batsman Ian Bell has said that it hurts that he is not in the national squad, and has answered his critics by smashing an unbeaten 84 for Warwickshire yesterday.
According to The Sun, the batsman had not played competitively for two months after losing his England place to Middlesex's Owais Shah.
But he looked solid against Somerset at Taunton and said: "I was raring to go. It hurts not to be in the England team, especially when you are on tour and have to watch. To be left out of a team you have been involved with for four years hurts like hell." (ANI)
