London, Apr.15 (ANI): Arsene Wenger, the manager of Arsenal FC, is confident his side can finish off Villarreal tonight to make the Champions League semi-finals.
"This team is ahead of schedule. No one could have predicted we'd be where we are now, after we lost five of our first 14 games. You can have children who are talented very early in their lives but you never know how they will respond to the difficult challenges," The Sun quoted Wenger, as saying.
However, former skipper Tony Adams does not believe the Gunners can win the Champions League - because they do not defend well enough.
The legendary skipper led Arsenal to their last European trophy with a backs-to-the-wall display in a 1-0 win over Parma in the 1994 Cup Winners' Cup final.
Adams said: "Even though I think Arsenal will beat Villarreal 3-0 to make the semi-final I don't see them winning the Champions League this season because this side has defensive frailties." (ANI)
