Patna, Apr 15: Just a day before the first phase of Loks Sabha Polls, eleven armed Naxals attacked an attack on the Border Security Force (BSF) camp in Bihar's Rohtas district, on Tuesday, Apr 15.
After an eight hour long gun battle which ended on Wednesday, Apr 15 the BSF jawans had shot dead the 11 naxals. Few of the jawans were injured in the process.
Naxals raided the camp with about 70 jawans at mid night firing rocket launchers, which was retaliated with gunfire by the jawans.
Due to the increasing naxal activity in the area the Bihar Government has requested for Air Force intervention.
Additional Director General of Police Nilman said that a large contingent of security forces from the district headquarters has already been dispatched.
