Lahore, Apr.14 (ANI): All four Asian Test playing nations India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are expected to join hands to prevent shift of the 2011 cricket World Cup from the region.
According to Dawn, these countries are in no mood to let the ICC shift the mega event.
Sources said the heads of all South Asian cricket boards will meet in Dubai on Wednesday before attending the ICC meeting.
Australia and New Zealand are the two alternative candidates for hosting the event in case the ICC decides to move it from South Asia. Both the countries are also pushing to host the 2015 World Cup.
Australia and New Zealand's aspiration to host the 2011 event may not be that easily fulfilled as it seems, because both countries would require at least seven out of ten votes to get hosting rights, and this is only possible when one of the four South Asian country sides with them along with West Indies, Zimbabwe, South Africa and England.
