Karachi, Apr.7 (ANI): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is skeptic about the International Cricket Council (ICC) giving clearance to players who sided with the rebel Indian Cricket League (ICL) to play in the World Twenty 20 Championship scheduled to be held in England in June.

The PCB has included three rebel cricketers Abdul Razzaq, Rana Naved-ul-Hasan and Imran Nazir in the list of 30 probable for the T20 World Championship.

"The ICC is set to adopt a tough stance over unofficial cricket leagues and may decide against clearing the three players," PCB's Chief Operating Officer Saleem Altaf said.

Altaf said there is a 50-50 chance for the ICC allowing the players to appear for the national team in the event.

He informed that the board will raise the issue during the next month's ICC Executive Board meeting.

"We are hoping that the ICC will clear the players. But we are also aware that the ICC is planning to come out with a tough policy for unauthorised events so lets see what happens," The News quoted Altaf, as saying. (ANI)
