New Delhi, Apr 4: The Union Home Ministry has sent a letter to the Governments of Karnataka and Kerala, regarding Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) being a likely terror target.
The advisory puts forth the need for security for the space scientists of the organisation stating that six middle grade space scientists are at danger.
ISRO has responded to the advisory saying that there is a three-tier security placed for the safety of the scientists.
On Thursday, Apr 2 a similar notice was sent by the Director General of Civil Aviation at the command of the Home Ministry, on a probably hijack plot . This has, however, been withdrawn due to the baseless nature of the threat. The withdrawal statement read, “Information provided therein has been further assessed and could not be substantiated. Hence, the alert may be withdrawn."
