BJP manifesto promises 35 kg rice per month
New Delhi, Apr 3: Releasing the election manifesto on Friday, Apr 3, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) promised to build Ram temple at Ayodhya if voted to power.
BJP also promised loan to farmers at the interest rate of 4 pc, cut in interest rates of home loans, and loan waivers to farmers implementation of 'Ladali Laxmi Yojana', wheat and rice to poor at the rate of Rs 2 per kg, upgradation of Income Tax slab to 3 lakh for men and 3.5 lakh for women, abolition of tax fringe benefit and protection of Ram Setu in its manifesto.
To counter Congress's offer of rice at Rs 3 per kg, BJP said it will give 35 kg rice per month at Rs 2 per kg for BPL families. It also promised to make available wheat at Rs 3.5 per kg. Another key promise made by the saffron party is bringing of a new law like 'POTA'.
It also promised to exempt armed forces from income tax and introduce 'One Rank, One Pension' scheme.
