Sharad Pawar to join third front rally on Apr 3
Bhubhaneshwar, Apr 2: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar will join a rally with leaders of the Third Front in Bhubhaneshwar on Friday, Apr 3.
He will share the platform with Biju Janata Dal (BJD) chief Naveen Patnaik, and Communist Party of India (Marxist) general secretary, Prakash Karat, Chandrababu Naidu and other leaders of third front.
Sources reveal that Pawar allinging with Thrid Front leaders could have deeper impact on the political equations in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
The development is also distressing for Congress as it comes at a time when allies party deserted Congress and the existing allies are showing a lack of faith in the ruling party's ability to win the forthcoming polls.
Sharad Pawar is a crucial UPA ally. He is also one of India's most significant mass leaders, who holds a solid grip over the voters in the sugar belt of western Maharashtra.
