London, Mar 30 (ANI): Late Brit celebrity Jade Goody will soon be venerated with a statue near her childhood home, if reports are to be believed.
The decision comes after Council chiefs were bombarded with letters demanding that the Big Brother star be honored.
The demands by Late Jade's fans does not seem to be going in vain, as the council has decided to honour her efforts to encourage young women to be screened for cervical cancer.
"The council has plans for the Dickens Estate area where Jade grew up, and I'm sure we could do something," the Mirror quoted Bob Skelly, chair of Bermondsey community council in South London, as saying.
Jade's family and pals are delighted by the news.
"It's wonderful news." Jade's spokesman Max Clifford said.
Meanwhile, Jade's sons Bobby, 5 and Freddy, 4, will be flying to Australia with dad Jeff Brazier in a bid to miss their mum's funeral, as their late mother wanted them to remember her as a happy, bubbly person.
"Jade is on her way to heaven," Jeff said. (ANI)
