Fritz Henderson new GM CEO
Washington, Mar 30: Fritz Henderson was appointed as the new CEO of General Motors (GM) replacing Rick Wagoner. Earlier Obama administration asked Wagoner, who was the CEO of US automaker for nearly 8 years to step down. Reason behind this decision of government is not yet disclosed.
GM in a short announcement said, "Fritz Henderson, GM president and chief operating officer, will serve as CEO." Henderson was named as the GM president and COO in 2008. He had also served as company's Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer.
