Manish Malhotra presents his collection at Lakme Fashion Week

Mumbai, Mar 29 (ANI): Bollywood designer Manish Malhotra presented his Fall/Winter 09 collection at the ongoing Lakme Fashion Week.

Manish Malhotra's collection "7 Star Superb" was a veritable feast for the eyes in fabrics, colours, form and the exquisite embroidery that was lavished on the garments. he collection was replete with embellishments, which were dazzling and opulent, the use of shimmering crystals made the collection a treat for the eyes.

The designer known for his top of the line showstoppers, this time roped in Bollywood actors Tusshar Kapoor and Genilia D'souza.

Genilia D'souza, dressed in luxurious jade green velvet lehenga teamed with a bronze corset, and Tusshar Kapoor, in chocolate brocade sherwani, appeared as perfect showstoppers.

"It was fantastic to be wearing what I am wearing and walking on the ramp. I was slightly nervous, but nonetheless it was a great moment to be wearing a Manish Malhotra outfit and walking for him as well," said Genilia D'souza.

Lakme Fashion Week will be held till March 31. It has received in all 189 applications - 88 for Gen Next and 44 for Emerging Fashion Designers from 20 cities across the country. (ANI)
