Ranchi, Mar 28 (ANI): The Election Commission on Saturday said that the Indian cricket skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni could be it's 'Poll Ambassador' for motivating young voters to exercise their rights to franchise.
The Election Commissioner S. Y. Quraishi said that the stars like Dhoni could help people to cast their votes.
"People should know that exercising their franchise is their duty. So, the Election Commission has mooted the idea to seek the help of stars like Dhoni to attract young voters," Quraishi added.
When asked about if Dhoni has accepted the request, the Election Commissioner said that the cricketer had to offer first. (ANI)
