Brandon Routh's plot removed from The Informers
Washington, Mar 28 (ANI): Hollywood actor Brandon Routh's whole plotline has been removed from the film 'The Informers' amid budget concerns.
The new film has been made from a book by Brett Easton Ellis, however trouble emerged after director Nick Jarecki was replaced by Gregor Jordan.
According to the sources, Ellis and Jarecki, who wrote the screenplay, are not quite happy with the finished product. They told pals that the film they had started to make is quite different from the finished product.
The script of the film was also cut from 150 to 94 pages, which included Routh's plotline.
Ellis told bookforum.com that the movie was supposed to be "an absurdist, lighthearted, and expansive satire."
"It's hard to tell now, but it was supposed to be like criminals and vampires and girls and young people," Fox News quoted Ellis as saying.
The vampire story i.e. Routh's plot line was cut out completely amid budget concerns and complaints of too much sex and violence.
"There were things I recognized, and a lot that I missed. But it's the director's version of the script, and that's just how it is," Ellis added. (ANI)
