During his first-ever White House Internet town-hall meeting, Obama said that Sasha developed life-threatening meningitis when she was just three months old.
"The doctors did a terrific job," Us magazine quoted him, as saying at the meeting Thursday, Mar 26.
"....but frankly it was the nurses that were there with us when she had to get a spinal tap, and all sorts of things that were just bringing me to tears," he added.
After her recovery, Obama's outlook on healthcare changed.
"I'm biased toward nurses," he said.
"I just like nurses," he added.
