Suicide blast in Pak mosque kills 70
Islamabad, Mar 27: Atleast 70 people are feared killed in a suicide attack at a mosque in the town of Jamrud in the Khyber agency in north-west of Pakistan. The blast occurred after Friday prayers.
So far 48 bodies are pulled out of the blast site. Officials are of the opinion that death toll may rise. Media reports suggest that as the mosque collapsed and many are trapped inside. North-west Pakistan has witnessed a number of suicide attacks as a result of rise in Taliban insurgency and of Shia-Sunni sectarian divide.
