Jesse Ryder's reaction after dismissal shows his hunger for runs

By Super Admin

Napier (New Zealand), Mar.27 (ANI): Kiwi batsman Jesse Ryder appeared disappointed on Friday after completing his double ton, suggesting that he is hungry to score more runs.

Ryder slammed his bat on the ground after playing the ball back on to his stumps just after reaching his maiden double hundred.

"It probably looked a lot worse than what it was. I was just disappointed at the time. It was a wide half volley. I was disappointed in going so far and working so hard to get to where I did. To get out like that really angered me," Ryder said.

Ryder played a chanceless innings of 201, becoming only the 11th Kiwi batsman to hit a double century.

Ryder's averages 64 after having played just eight Test matches, and obviously has no complains, so do his teammates.

"I can't ask for anything more at this stage of my career. I can't complain," Stuff.com quoted Ryder, as saying. (ANI)
