No fear of deflation in India: Subbarao
New Delhi, Mar 26: Subbarao, the Reserve Bank of India Governor said that there is no fear of sustained deflation as inflation touched a historic low at 0.27 pc on Thursday, Mar 26. "There is no fear of sustained deflation in India. India's economic recovery will be sharper and swifter than rest of world," said Rao in a media conference.
Decline in fuel prices and in commodity prices such as sugar and iron led to the fall of inflation. The RBI chief said that past monetary measures were yielding results.
