Aishwarya Rai, the Indian face of Barbie
Mumbai, Mar 26: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will soon become the first Indian face of legendary doll 'Barbie'. Reports suggest that Mattel, the toy giant is in talks with the representatives of Ash. The Barbie modelled after former 'Miss World' will be titled 'Bollywood Barbie'.
Mattel, which recently celebrated Barbie's 50th birthday, is planning to increase its sales in India with 'Bollywood Barbie'. The doll will have Aishwarya's striking green eyes and outfits created by top Indian designers. The deal with toy giant shows the Ash's growing global popularity. She is among the four Indian film stars to have their waxwork image displayed at Madame Tussaud's, the others being her father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan and Helen.
Aishwarya has acted in Hollywood films like 'Pink Panther 2', 'Mistress of Spices' and 'Bride and Prejudice' and also promotes international brands like 'Loreal' and 'Longines' which makes her one of the most recognised faces around the world.
