London, Mar.25 (ANI): Uncertainty overshadows the remaining three games of the one-day international series between West Indies and England with the Carribean players threatening to go on strike over non- payment of their dues from last year's New Zealand tour.

Windies Cricket Board (WICB) officials Julian Hunte and Donald Peters have sought an immediate meeting with West Indies Cricket Players' Union chief Dinanath Ramnarine on the issue.

West Indian players expressed their discontent over the issue by tapping over the sponsor Digicel's logo during Friday's game.

The WICB is expected to take a firm stand on the issue and may also bar captain Chris Gayle, Ramnaresh Sarwan and Shiv Chanderpaul from playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) if the union resists, The Sun reports.

With the five match series locked 1-1, the remaining two games at Barbados and the final at St. Lucia scheduled to be played on April 3 has increased interest of cricket fans tremendously. The last thing they would want is a cancellation of the series. (ANI)
