The 21-year-old is due in court on Thursday, Mar 26 for sentencing after he was found guilty of assaulting a taxi driver last month.
If magistrates decide to jail him he will miss the former Big Brother star's funeral.
"After all he has been through, the last thing he wants is to miss the funeral. He wants to say goodbye to Jade and be with her friends and family when she is buried," the Mirror quoted a friend, as saying.
Tweed is now praying his lawyers can persuade magistrates to postpone sentencing until after the funeral.
"He is desperately trying to get the hearing postponed. He's doing everything he can to get it put back until after the funeral," the friend said.
Jade's mum Jackiey said: "Jack is holding on tight, bless him. He's honestly the best husband she could ever have had."
